Ansaf Salleb-Aouissi, Ph.D.

Ansaf Salleb-Aouissi joined Columbia University┬┤s Center for Computational Learning Systems as an Associate Research Scientist in 2006 after a Postdoctoral Fellowship at INRIA Rennes (France). Her research interests lie in Machine Learning and Data Mining. She has done research on frequent patterns mining, association rules, ranking, characterization, and action recommendation and has worked on large-scale projects including Machine Learning for the power grid. Her current research includes crowd sourcing and medical informatics. Ansaf has published several peer-reviewed papers in high quality journals, conferences and books including TPAMI, JMLR, ECML, PKDD, COLT, IJCAI, ECAI and AISTAT. Notably, one of her papers won the best paper award at a 2008 European Machine Learning conference. Ansaf received an Engineer degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algeria and an M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Orleans (France).
